Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo exited Tuesday night’s NBA play-in game after sustaining a back injury during a scramble for the ball with Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball.
The incident occurred when Adebayo and Ball became entangled while fighting for possession. As they fell to the floor, Ball grabbed Adebayo’s ankle, and the Heat star remained down before walking off the court. Adebayo did not return to the game.
