Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton publicly responded on April 13, 2026, to online commentary about his recent weight gain after an unflattering photo of him spread across social media platforms.
The image, which quickly went viral, prompted fans to nickname the 24-year-old All-Star “Tyrese Haliburger.” Speaking with reporters, Haliburton acknowledged the extra pounds and said the change was intentional. He added that he is comfortable with his current conditioning and does not believe the additional weight will hinder his performance.
Haliburton, the Pacers’ leading scorer and playmaker, did not specify how much weight he has added or exactly when the photo was taken. He emphasized, however, that his offseason regimen remains focused on strength and durability for the long NBA schedule.
