New York has already clinched a playoff berth and home-court advantage to open the postseason. However, several teams remain in contention to land opposite the Knicks once the standings settle and the play-in tournament concludes.
The NBA is expected to finalize the complete first-round schedule shortly after the regular season ends, at which point the Knicks will know which club will open a best-of-seven series at Madison Square Garden.
