Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers publicly disputed a story by ESPN insider Shams Charania on Friday, April 10, 2026, calling the report “inaccurate” and adding, “I miss Woj.”
Rivers’ comment surfaced during a media availability in which he was asked about Charania’s account of an unspecified team matter. The coach said the details published were wrong and suggested that longtime ESPN colleague Adrian Wojnarowski would have presented the situation more accurately.
Rivers did not elaborate on which elements of the story he believed to be incorrect, but he emphasized that the team’s internal discussions had been misrepresented. Charania had not responded publicly to Rivers’ criticism at the time of publication.
Rivers, 64, took over the Bucks in January 2024 and guided Milwaukee to consecutive postseason appearances. Charania, 32, is one of ESPN’s lead NBA news breakers, often competing directly with Wojnarowski for scoops.
Friday’s exchange marked one of the rare occasions in which Rivers singled out a specific journalist for what he views as misleading coverage, underscoring the growing tension between NBA teams and high-profile news breakers.
