The Philadelphia 76ers are reshuffling the back end of their roster ahead of the postseason, elevating guard/forward Dalen Terry from a two-way deal to a standard NBA contract and placing veteran point guard Cameron Payne on waivers, according to Tony Jones of The Athletic.

Terry, the No. 18 overall pick in the 2022 draft, joined Philadelphia on a two-way agreement in February after being waived by New Orleans. The 22-year-old has appeared in 13 games for the 76ers, posting averages of 4.3 points, 1.8 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 13.0 minutes per outing. He was one game shy of the 50-game active limit for two-way players, prompting the promotion.

If the deal is finalized Friday, Terry can be active for both of the club’s remaining regular-season contests and will be eligible for any upcoming play-in or playoff games. His new contract includes a team option for the 2026-27 season at the veteran minimum, giving Philadelphia cost-controlled flexibility moving forward.

Payne, 31, signed a rest-of-season minimum-salary contract with the 76ers on Feb. 18, shortly after the trade deadline. The eight-year veteran averaged 7.4 points and 2.6 assists while shooting .376 from the field and .330 from three-point range in 17.0 minutes across 20 appearances. He has been a healthy scratch in four of the past six games.

The guard will clear waivers in 48 hours if unclaimed, allowing another team to add him before Sunday’s regular-season finale. However, because he is being waived after March 1, he will be ineligible for the 2024 playoffs.
