The National Basketball Association has levied a $25,000 fine against the Orlando Magic for failing to meet league requirements on injury reporting prior to Monday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons in Orlando.

According to the league, the Magic initially listed point guard Anthony Black as “out” on their official injury report. Black, who had missed 15 consecutive games with an abdominal strain, was ultimately cleared to play and logged 15 minutes in the 123–107 victory, finishing with 14 points, two assists and two steals.

The NBA said the team did not “accurately disclose” the guard’s status before tipoff, prompting the penalty announced Thursday.

Black, a third-year player from Arkansas, is averaging 15.1 points and 3.8 assists over 62 contests this season, including 40 starts.
