The Minnesota Timberwolves, fresh off securing a postseason berth Tuesday in Indiana, will sit multiple rotation pieces for Wednesday’s road game against the Orlando Magic. The club announced that Julius Randle (right hand soreness), Ayo Dosunmu (right calf injury maintenance) and Mike Conley (rest) are out, while Rudy Gobert is listed as questionable for rest purposes.

Star guard Anthony Edwards, sidelined for nine of the past 11 contests with patellofemoral pain syndrome and a recent illness, will remain inactive as Minnesota focuses on his health for the playoffs. The team hopes he can log at least one appearance before the regular season concludes.

Forward Jaden McDaniels, out since March 25 with left knee patella tendinopathy, has been cleared for full-contact 5-on-5 work and is now questionable for Wednesday. Even if he does not suit up in Orlando, the 25-year-old is tracking toward a return before the regular schedule ends.

Additional Injury Updates Around the League

Washington Wizards: Head coach Brian Keefe said Anthony Davis (hand) and Trae Young (low back pain; right quad contusion) are not expected to play again this season. Davis has not yet debuted for Washington and is running out of time to do so, while Young remains earlier in his rehab timeline.

San Antonio Spurs: Victor Wembanyama (left rib contusion) and Stephon Castle (right knee soreness) are out Wednesday against Portland. The club is optimistic both could return Friday versus Dallas. Wembanyama must log at least 20 minutes in one of the final two games to remain eligible for end-of-season awards.

Cleveland Cavaliers: Jaylon Tyson (left great toe bone bruise) went through shootaround and a separate workout but continues to experience discomfort; he is now doubtful for Wednesday’s meeting with Atlanta. Dean Wade (right ankle sprain) is listed as questionable and has a better chance to play.

Toronto Raptors: Immanuel Quickley, back Tuesday after missing eight games with plantar fasciitis, said the underlying issue dates to February and is “a little bit deeper” than plantar fasciitis alone. He logged nearly 18 minutes in the win over Miami but conceded he is still not fully recovered.
