Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry will suit up against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, marking his first appearance since January 30.
Marc J. Spears of Andscape reported the guard’s clearance after a week of intensified on-court work showed no setbacks in his recovery from runner’s knee. Curry recently said the discomfort in his knee is expected to persist but emphasized that no structural damage was found.
The two-time MVP has logged 39 games this season, averaging 27.2 points—his highest figure in three years. With Golden State already locked into a play-in position, the team hopes to rebuild Curry’s rhythm ahead of the postseason.
Spears noted via Twitter that Curry is projected to play in short bursts totaling roughly 25 minutes. ESPN’s Anthony Slater added that the Warriors will manage his workload carefully, as the club faces five games in an eight-day span leading into the play-in tournament.
Guard Seth Curry is also listed as available for tonight’s contest, according to Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area. Meanwhile, teammate Draymond Green offered a concise reaction to Curry’s return on his podcast: “Thank God,” relayed Tristi Rodriguez of NBC Sports Bay Area.
