MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke was taken into custody Wednesday in Cross County, Arkansas, on allegations ranging from speeding to drug trafficking, according to jail records.

The Cross County Sheriff’s Department listed the 6-foot-7 veteran as booked Wednesday afternoon on counts of improper passing, fleeing, exceeding the speed limit, possession of a controlled substance and trafficking a controlled substance. A booking photograph was posted on the department’s website.

Head coach Tuomas Iisalo told reporters before Wednesday night’s home game against the New York Knicks that he was “aware of the report” but declined further comment.

Clarke, 27, is in his seventh NBA season out of Gonzaga. Injuries have limited him to just two appearances this year. He missed the first 26 games while recovering from surgery on his right knee and has been sidelined for the past 46 with a right calf strain. On March 24, the team announced he would not return this season but is expected to rejoin the lineup next year.

No court dates were immediately available.
