Jokic Shrugs Off Caitlin Clark’s Compliment With a Quick Joke
Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic offered a playful explanation Sunday night after college basketball star Caitlin Clark called him “the best player in the world” during NBC’s “Sunday Night Basketball” pre-game show.
Speaking from the studio before Denver faced the Golden State Warriors, Clark said Jokic is “probably my favorite player to watch.”
Asked about the remark after the game at Ball Arena, Jokic cracked a smile and replied, “We have the same agent. That’s why she said it.”
The two-time MVP then backed up the praise on the court, finishing with 25 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists as the Nuggets defeated Golden State 116-93.
