Bogdan Bogdanovic Says EuroLeague Speculation Can Wait While Clippers Chase Playoffs

Los Angeles Clippers guard Bogdan Bogdanovic dismissed growing chatter about a possible summer return to Partizan Belgrade, telling Serbian broadcaster RTS after Sunday’s game in Milwaukee that his attention remains on the final stretch of the NBA season.

“I see the rumors in the media as well,” the 33-year-old said. “It’s nice to see those images, but should I decide now? I have seven games left and a playoff run ahead, so my head is here. I’m not thinking about what will happen next month or next year.”

Bogdanovic will likely have to weigh his options once the season ends. He is earning a little more than $16 million this season, and the Clippers hold a team option for the same figure in 2026-27. Given his limited role—21 appearances with averages of 7.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 20.4 minutes while shooting .376/.329/.800—L.A. may deem that salary difficult to justify.

Injuries have slowed the veteran since his arrival at last year’s trade deadline; he has suited up for 51 games with the Clippers overall. Still, he produced 16 points in 27 minutes against New Orleans 11 days ago and hopes to replicate that impact when the postseason begins.

“I don’t know anything more than you,” he said of the EuroLeague talk. “I’m ready, I’m working, and I’m training. I’m trying to be in the best possible shape when the playoffs start.”

Bogdanovic launched his professional career with Partizan in 2010, capturing four consecutive Serbian League titles and earning 2014 Playoffs MVP honors before Phoenix drafted him that same year. He remained in Europe with Fenerbahce until 2017, then logged three NBA seasons in Sacramento and more than four in Atlanta before the Clippers deal.

Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport reported last week that Partizan is planning a significant roster overhaul, listing Bogdanovic as its primary target. The report also mentioned Dante Exum—recovering from season-ending knee surgery—along with Joffrey Lauvergne, Jan Vesely and Alen Smailagic as potential additions.
