TORONTO, Mar. 29, 2026 — A historic 31-0 run in the first half powered the Toronto Raptors to a 139-87 rout of the Orlando Magic on Sunday night, marking Orlando’s seventh loss in its past eight outings.
Toronto trailed 20-14 with 5:30 left in the opening quarter before stringing together the longest unanswered scoring stretch of the play-by-play era, which dates to 1997-98, according to ESPN Research.
RJ Barrett paced the Raptors with 24 points, while Scottie Barnes added 23 points and a career-high 15 assists. The victory, Toronto’s largest margin of the season, kept the club in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Orlando briefly led 18-11 after a Jalen Suggs three-pointer with 6:35 remaining in the first period, but Toronto closed the quarter on a 27-2 burst. The Magic committed 12 turnovers in the frame, gifting the Raptors 14 points, and finished the night with 28 giveaways that resulted in 37 Toronto points. Orlando converted just 31 field goals in the game.
The Magic endured a scoring drought of nearly six minutes after Paolo Banchero’s jumper at the 5:30 mark of the first quarter; Banchero finally ended the skid with 9:42 to go in the second.
Toronto played without forward Brandon Ingram, sidelined for the second time in four games because of a sore right heel. Collin Murray-Boyles (back spasms) and Immanuel Quickley (right foot) were also unavailable.
The lopsided result followed Orlando’s Thursday win over Sacramento, which had snapped a six-game slide.
