MINNEAPOLIS — The NBA has levied a $50,000 fine against Minnesota Timberwolves forward-center Naz Reid for comments that, according to the league, challenged the integrity of the officiating crew during Wednesday’s 110-108 overtime win against the Houston Rockets.

Reid received a technical foul and was ejected with 4:13 remaining in the extra period. It was his first technical of the game; a second technical would have been required for an automatic ejection under normal circumstances.

Crew chief Scott Foster told a pool reporter after the contest that the ejection resulted from Reid making “a statement that questioned the integrity of the crew.”

The fine was announced Thursday. No additional disciplinary measures were disclosed.
