PHILADELPHIA — The 76ers have listed Joel Embiid as questionable for Wednesday’s matchup against the Bulls as he works his way back from a left oblique strain. The All-Star center has not appeared since Feb. 26, when he logged 26 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in a win over Miami.
Embiid is averaging 26.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists this season, and Philadelphia is 21-12 in the games he has played. Tony Jones of The Athletic reported that, barring a setback, Embiid is expected to suit up on Wednesday. His possible return coincides with Paul George becoming eligible to play after completing a 25-game suspension.
Thunder get Jalen Williams back
Jalen Williams returned to the Thunder lineup Monday following a hamstring injury, finishing with 18 points and six assists. After the game, Williams told ESPN that his surgically repaired wrist has finally reached full strength, noting that extended time off allowed him to regain his usual shooting rhythm.
Timberwolves list Dosunmu as questionable
Ayo Dosunmu was added to Minnesota’s injury report for Wednesday’s game against Houston with right calf soreness. Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic labeled the issue “concerning,” pointing to the cautious approach teams have taken with calf problems that can impact the Achilles.
McBride edges closer to Knicks return
Miles McBride, sidelined since late January after core surgery, went through his customary pre-game routine Tuesday night. James L. Edwards III of The Athletic observed the workout and suggested the guard’s return could be imminent. Stefan Bondy of the New York Post shared video of the session, noting that McBride appeared to move freely.
