The Memphis Grizzlies have signed forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper to a two-way contract, the club announced Thursday at 3:59 p.m. CST.

Agents Todd Ramasar and Mike Simonetta told ESPN’s Shams Charania earlier in the day that the 23-year-old free agent chose Memphis after weighing multiple offers. The Grizzlies had previously explored trading for Prosper before the Dallas Mavericks waived and stretched his contract on Aug. 29.

Dallas opted to spread Prosper’s salary over three seasons—roughly $1 million per year through 2027-28—instead of attaching one of its two remaining second-round picks to move the deal. The maneuver created room under the second tax apron, enabling the Mavericks to re-sign guard Dante Exum.

Prosper, a 6-foot-8 Canadian, was selected No. 24 overall in the 2023 NBA Draft after one season at Clemson and two at Marquette. Over his first two NBA campaigns he averaged 3.5 points and 2.2 rebounds in 10.0 minutes across 92 regular-season games, shooting .396 from the field, .260 from three and .658 at the line.

He also spent time with the Texas Legends in 2023-24, posting 18.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.9 steals while shooting .498/.418/.762 in 25 G League appearances.

Prosper occupies Memphis’s third and final two-way slot.
