March 23, 2026 — With fantasy basketball playoffs underway, managers in daily-transaction leagues are searching for short-term contributors who can provide an edge. Several lightly rostered players delivered notable performances this week and could fill immediate gaps created by injuries across the NBA.
Point guards
Kennedy Chandler, Utah Jazz (0.9% rostered) – Signed to a 10-day contract, the guard logged 37 minutes in his Jazz debut and produced 19 points, five rebounds and four assists. Isaiah Collier and Keyonte George are both out with hamstring injuries, leaving Chandler positioned for additional run.
Daniss Jenkins, Detroit Pistons (20.1%) – Starting in place of Cade Cunningham (lung), Jenkins has averaged 15.3 points, 6.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds over his past three games while playing 31.0 minutes per contest.
Shooting guards
Ayo Dosunmu, Minnesota Timberwolves (42.5%) – Filling in for Anthony Edwards (knee), Dosunmu has reached at least 17 points in five straight outings. During that span he is contributing 19.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.8 three-pointers in 32.8 minutes.
Gary Payton II, Golden State Warriors (9.1%) – The veteran reserve has posted double figures in points or rebounds in ten consecutive games, averaging 13.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 steals across 23.0 minutes.
Small forwards
Ace Bailey, Utah Jazz (44.0%) – The rookie has scored more than 20 points in four of his last seven contests. Over his most recent three games he is producing 25.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.3 triples.
Bilal Coulibaly, Washington Wizards (25.5%) – After missing two games with a heel issue, the wing has returned to average 19.2 points, 2.6 three-pointers and 2.8 combined steals and blocks in his past five appearances, logging 31.4 minutes a night.
Power forwards
P.J. Washington, Dallas Mavericks (50.2%) – With Dallas shorthanded, Washington has topped 18 points in four straight games, supplying 20.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.0 threes and 1.8 steals during that run.
Taylor Hendricks, Memphis Grizzlies (8.8%) – The second-year forward has recorded at least two combined steals and blocks in six consecutive games. Over that stretch he is averaging 13.2 points, 2.7 steals, 1.7 blocks and 1.5 threes in 25.5 minutes.
Centers
Yves Missi, New Orleans Pelicans (4.9%) – The rookie big man has collected double-digit rebounds and three or more blocks in four of his past five outings, averaging 9.3 boards and 3.0 rejections in 24.5 minutes, though his scoring remains modest.
Maxime Raynaud, Sacramento Kings (43.2%) – Since late February, Raynaud has reached 22 points in seven of 12 games, producing 19.4 points and 8.5 rebounds in 33.1 minutes. Over his last three contests those numbers have climbed to 28.0 points and 7.7 rebounds in 38.0 minutes.
The above players remain widely available in ESPN fantasy leagues and have recently stepped into larger roles because of injuries or late-season developments, offering potential value as the fantasy playoffs continue.
