Oklahoma City forward Jalen Williams is expected to play Monday night when the Thunder host the Philadelphia 76ers, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The second-year standout has been limited to 26 appearances this season while nursing a hamstring injury. His most recent game action came in a Feb. 11 win over the Phoenix Suns.
Williams is averaging 17.5 points—his lowest mark since his rookie campaign—while shooting a career-low 31.3% from three-point range. He is, however, handing out a personal-best 5.4 assists per contest.
Oklahoma City’s preferred starting five of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luguentz Dort, Williams, Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein has shared the court for only five games this season. Despite the limited time together, the Thunder own the NBA’s best record at 56-15 with 11 games left on the regular-season schedule.
The Thunder will be without guard Ajay Mitchell on Monday; he received a suspension for his role in an on-court altercation with the Washington Wizards on Saturday.
