Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is on track to return to full practice “in the coming days,” the club announced on Friday.

The update noted that the two-time MVP “continues to make good progress” in his rehabilitation from the injury that has kept him out of the lineup. No target date for game action was provided, but the organization said another evaluation would follow once Curry completes several practice sessions without setbacks.

Curry has been sidelined since earlier this month, leaving the Warriors to navigate a critical stretch of the Western Conference schedule without their leading scorer. The 36-year-old is averaging 26.9 points, 5.1 assists and 4.5 rebounds this season.

Golden State sits in the middle of the playoff race and has leaned on veterans Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, along with emerging forward Jonathan Kuminga, to fill the void. Head coach Steve Kerr said the team is “eager” to have its floor leader back but will not rush the timeline.
