Milwaukee, WI — The Milwaukee Bucks will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo for a minimum of seven days after tests revealed a left knee hyperextension and bone bruise, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The two-time MVP will be reevaluated in one week. Imaging showed no structural damage, a point head coach Doc Rivers emphasized Tuesday. “The good news was it was a really good image, so there was no damage,” Rivers said, per The Athletic’s Eric Nehm. “Nothing. It was really just good news. But I don’t know the next part.”

Antetokounmpo was hurt Sunday against Indiana when he landed awkwardly after a spin move and dunk. He remained in the game briefly before exiting for good.

The 29-year-old has appeared in only 36 games this season while managing knee, groin and calf issues. He is averaging nearly 28 points, almost 10 rebounds and more than five assists per contest.

Milwaukee enters Tuesday at 28-39, 11th in the Eastern Conference and 5.5 games behind the final play-in spot. The Bucks face a demanding stretch with a road trip approaching.

The team also ruled out center Myles Turner on Tuesday because of a calf injury.
