Orlando, FL — Magic forward Jonathan Isaac sustained a left knee sprain during Thursday night’s overtime victory against the Washington Wizards and did not return, the team announced.

Head coach Jamahl Mosley said his “heart dropped” when Isaac went down, noting that the incident drained energy from the roster. An MRI performed later that night confirmed the sprain, and Isaac’s timetable will be determined by how the knee responds to treatment.

Reporter Jason Beede of The Orlando Sentinel observed Isaac walking without assistance in the locker room, though the 28-year-old declined to speak with the media.

Isaac had missed three straight games earlier in the week because of soreness in the same knee but was active—though unused—for Wednesday’s win over Cleveland. “That’s just something that’s been kind of lingering,” Mosley said over the weekend, adding that the club is monitoring the condition to prevent further complications.

The former first-round pick previously lost two and a half seasons after tearing the ACL in his left knee in 2020. Prior to Thursday’s game, Isaac was averaging 2.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in 10.2 minutes across 51 appearances this season. He and Orlando recently reached an agreement to modify the protection on his salary for the 2026-27 campaign.
