LeBron James to Miss Third Consecutive Game When Lakers Meet Timberwolves

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has been ruled out for Tuesday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the club announced, extending his current absence to three straight games.

The team cited “multiple nagging injuries” as the reason for keeping the 21-year veteran on the sideline. James also missed the Lakers’ two previous contests, and the organization offered no timetable for his return.

This latest scratch continues a season in which the NBA’s all-time scoring leader has periodically battled assorted aches and pains. Without James, head coach Darvin Ham will again be forced to lean more heavily on Anthony Davis and the remaining rotation as Los Angeles looks to stay competitive in the Western Conference race.

Tip-off against Minnesota is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET at Crypto.com Arena.
