The Memphis Grizzlies announced Wednesday that point guard Ja Morant will be sidelined for at least two more weeks while he recovers from a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow.

The team said Morant underwent follow-up imaging earlier in the day, which showed the injury is not yet fully healed. He is scheduled for another evaluation in roughly 14 days.

Morant, 26, has appeared in only 20 games this season and has suited up just three times since Jan. 1. Memphis currently sits at 23-38, six games behind the Western Conference’s final play-in position.

The former All-NBA guard drew significant trade interest ahead of February’s deadline but was ultimately not moved. League sources cited his limited availability—79 total games over the past three seasons—and remaining salary commitments of $42.4 million and $44.9 million over the next two years as factors that dampened offers.

Through his 20 outings this year, Morant is averaging 19.5 points, 8.1 assists (3.6 turnovers), 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 steal in 28.5 minutes per game, while shooting .410 from the field, .235 from three-point range and .897 at the free-throw line.

Memphis is expected to resume trade discussions involving Morant this summer after reportedly exploring options with Miami, Minnesota, Sacramento and Milwaukee before the deadline.
