The Washington Wizards announced Tuesday that forward Kyshawn George has sustained a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow and will be reevaluated in three weeks.

The organization said the injury will be managed conservatively, leaving George’s availability for the remainder of the season—scheduled to end April 12—uncertain.

George exited Monday’s game against the Houston Rockets midway through the third quarter. After being examined in the locker room, he returned to the bench but did not re-enter the contest. He had been listed as questionable before the game with a left knee contusion.

The second-year wing has started all 48 games he has played this season, averaging 14.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 29 minutes per night while shooting 43.8 percent from the field, 38.1 percent from three-point range and 80.2 percent at the free-throw line.

Earlier this month, George participated in the Rising Stars event at All-Star Weekend, helping Team Vince capture the championship.

Selected 24th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, the 22-year-old is set to earn $3.1 million next season in the third year of his rookie scale contract. Washington must decide by this fall whether to exercise its $5.4 million team option for 2027-28, and George will become extension-eligible next summer.
