San Antonio Spurs forward Harrison Barnes did not play in Thursday night’s 131-91 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, halting a streak of 364 consecutive appearances that dated back to December 4, 2021.

Head coach Mitch Johnson said Barnes, 32, woke up from his customary pregame nap with pain in his left ankle and immediately informed the medical staff. The veteran was added to the injury report shortly before tip-off, received treatment, but was ultimately ruled out.

Barnes had not missed a game since his time with the Sacramento Kings nearly three years ago. Since the start of the 2021-22 season, he has played in 382 contests—second only to New York Knicks swingman Mikal Bridges, whose active streak stands at 616 games.

The Spurs rolled past Philadelphia despite Barnes’ absence, improving their record while he begins day-to-day evaluation for the ankle issue.
