The Boston Celtics delivered one of the most accurate performances of the shot-clock era on Friday, hitting 66.7 percent of their attempts in a 148-111 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at TD Garden.

Boston converted 52 of 78 shots, the franchise’s third-best field-goal percentage since 1954-55, according to ESPN Research. The club also drilled 64.7 percent from beyond the arc, generating an 80.8 effective field-goal rate—the highest recorded league-wide in the shot-clock era.

Jaylen Brown paced the Celtics with 28 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Newly acquired center Nikola Vucevic matched Brown’s scoring total and added 11 rebounds for his third double-double with Boston.

“I thought we just did a good job reading the game,” head coach Joe Mazzulla said postgame. “We made the right reads throughout most of the entire game.”

All 13 Celtics who saw the floor scored, and the team committed only three turnovers after halftime. Boston has won five of six since the All-Star break and holds second place in the Eastern Conference at 39-20.

Attention now turns to Jayson Tatum, sidelined since rupturing his Achilles in May during the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks. “It’s just another step,” Tatum said recently. “I feel a little bit better every day.”

Boston hosts the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.
