The Chicago Bulls kept guard Jaden Ivey on the bench for the entire game Wednesday, recording a DNP-CD as the team’s backcourt was at full strength, according to Hoops Rumors.
Head coach Billy Donovan opted to rely on his usual rotation with all primary guards available, leaving the 24-year-old Ivey without minutes. The move underscores the competition for playing time in Chicago’s crowded backcourt.
Ivey, acquired by the Bulls ahead of this season, is averaging 11.2 points and 3.6 assists in 23.4 minutes per game but has now logged two DNP-CDs since mid-January.
The Bulls (28-25) return to action Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
