North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson is rapidly climbing NBA draft boards and has entered the conversation for teams expected to select near the top, according to a Feb. 20 report.

League sources told the New York Post that Wilson’s recent play has “forced” his name into early-lottery discussions. Among the franchises monitoring his rise are the Brooklyn Nets, a club mired near the bottom of the standings and widely viewed around the league as positioning for draft lottery odds.

While the draft order will not be set until the NBA lottery this spring, scouts indicated that Wilson’s combination of size and skill has made him a realistic option for any team holding a high pick. For Brooklyn, whose rebuilding effort has left the roster short on long-term cornerstones, the 6-foot-something Tar Heel represents a potential marquee addition if current trends continue.

Wilson, still in the midst of his collegiate season, has not yet announced whether he will enter the 2026 draft. Even so, his emergence has quickly become a focal point for talent evaluators projecting the top of the board.
