Cleveland, OH — The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed guard Darius Brown II to a two-way contract and released forward Emanuel Miller, the team announced Monday.

Brown, 26, can be active for up to 15 NBA regular-season games under his new deal. The 6’2″ guard had been playing for the Cleveland Charge, the Cavaliers’ G League affiliate, where he averaged 12.4 points, 9.7 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 34 appearances this season while shooting 43.6 percent from the field, 39.8 percent from three and 83.9 percent from the free-throw line.

The Utah State product went undrafted in 2024 and has spent parts of the last two Octobers on Exhibit 10 contracts with Cleveland. Since turning pro, he has appeared in 78 games for the Charge and has started regularly this year.

Brown takes the roster spot previously held by Miller, 25, who joined Cleveland from Chicago in a recent three-team trade that also involved Sacramento. The 6’5″ Canadian forward did not suit up for the Cavaliers. Earlier this season, Miller played 11 NBA games for the Bulls and logged 24 G League contests with the Windy City Bulls and the Charge, averaging 17.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 34.0 minutes.

The move leaves Miller free to pursue another opportunity as the Cavaliers bolster backcourt depth with Brown.
