The Los Angeles Lakers and Lotus Communications have renewed their Spanish-language radio agreement, ensuring that KWKW 1330 AM will continue to carry every preseason, regular-season and postseason game “for years to come,” the organizations announced.

KWKW has served as the team’s exclusive Spanish radio outlet since 1999. “Since 1999, KWKW 1330 AM has delivered incredible Spanish-language coverage to Lakers fans across Los Angeles,” said Tim Harris, the Lakers’ chief operating officer and president of business operations. “We look forward to KWKW continuing to bring their knowledge, excitement and energy to the listening experience.”

The broadcast booth will again feature longtime play-by-play voice José “Pepe” Mantilla, entering his 31st year with the organization, alongside analyst Samuel Jacobo, who is heading into his third season. Both are slated to return through the 2025-26 campaign.

“We are honored to continue this historic relationship delivering the excitement of one of the most iconic franchises in all of sports,” said Jim Kalmenson, president of Lotus Communications. “For Lotus, it’s more than just games — it’s about connecting culture, family and tradition through the love of the Lakers.”

Fans can listen on KWKW 1330 AM or stream games on the KWKW app, which also provides local news, traffic and sports updates. The station, owned by the Kalmenson family’s Lotus Communications since 1962, is billed as Los Angeles’ original Spanish radio outlet.

The extension follows a separate agreement that keeps ESPN Los Angeles 710 as the Lakers’ English-language radio partner.

KWKW will broadcast LeBron James’ 23rd NBA season, which the star has hinted could be his last. Asked for advice to young athletes, James said, “If there’s something that you love to do, go out and do it. Fall in love with the process and not the results. That’s the No. 1 key to me.”
