The NBA has fined the Utah Jazz and Indiana Pacers a combined $600,000 for decisions tied to the participation of their star players, the league announced on Feb. 12, 2026.
According to the league, both clubs violated rules intended to discourage tanking by making roster moves that limited on-court time for key players. The NBA said those actions conflicted with policies designed to protect competitive integrity throughout the regular season.
The total penalty of $600,000 covers infractions by both franchises; the league did not immediately disclose how the amount is divided between Utah and Indiana.
Representatives for the Jazz, the Pacers and the NBA have not publicly commented beyond the brief announcement of the fines.
