North Carolina freshman Caleb Wilson has been diagnosed with a fracture in his left hand, the school confirmed on Wednesday. The injury occurred during the first half of Tuesday’s loss at Miami (FL). The Tar Heels did not provide a timetable for the 19-year-old forward/center’s return.

Wilson has been one of college basketball’s most productive players, averaging 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks in 31.3 minutes across 24 games. ESPN’s Jeremy Woo ranks him No. 4 on his latest 2026 draft board, noting that some scouts believe Wilson could crack the top three alongside consensus headliners Darryn Peterson, AJ Dybantsa and Cameron Boozer.

Draft Stock Movers

Woo’s updated top 25 features three significant risers: Illinois guard Keaton Wagler (No. 6, previously No. 25), Arizona guard Brayden Burries (No. 17, previously No. 41) and Texas Tech guard Christian Anderson (No. 19, previously No. 38). On the downside, Arizona forward/center Koa Peat slips to No. 16 from No. 8 amid questions about his shooting, rim protection and size, while Kentucky center Jayden Quaintance falls to No. 18 from No. 9 after being shut down indefinitely with knee swelling related to last March’s ACL tear.

Cunningham Buys Stake in Rangers

Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham has purchased a minority interest in the Texas Rangers, he told ESPN’s Shams Charania. The Arlington, Texas, native and former No. 1 overall NBA draft pick will make his second consecutive All-Star appearance this weekend.
