The Dallas Mavericks announced Wednesday that rookie forward Cooper Flagg has sustained a left midfoot sprain.

Flagg was hurt during Tuesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns and underwent an MRI that confirmed the injury.

The team said the 19-year-old will sit out Thursday’s matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers and Friday’s Castrol Rising Stars game during All-Star Weekend.

According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, the No. 2 overall draft pick is not expected to miss additional games after the All-Star break.

Flagg has appeared in 49 of Dallas’s 53 contests this season, averaging 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 34.1 minutes per game.
