Grizzlies to Ink Rookie Center Lawson Lovering to 10-Day Contract

The Memphis Grizzlies are adding 7-foot-1 rookie center Lawson Lovering on a 10-day contract, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Lovering, 22, has spent the season with the organization’s G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle. Over 24 appearances, the Wyoming native has averaged 7.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 blocks in 26.8 minutes.
The Grizzlies originally brought Lovering to training camp on an Exhibit 10 deal in early September. He logged four preseason games for Memphis, posting 2.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 9.5 minutes per contest before being waived in mid-October. Lovering went undrafted in 2025 after finishing his college career at Utah.
The short-term signing helps Memphis cover a depleted frontcourt. The club traded Jaren Jackson Jr. to Utah last week, released Eric Gordon on Friday to open a roster spot, and is currently without injured centers Zach Edey and Brandon Clarke.
