NEW YORK — Guard Jordan Clarkson told the New York Post on Feb. 7 that he is adjusting to what he called a “whole new process” as his role with the Knicks continues to diminish.
The veteran acknowledged that his minutes and overall responsibilities have declined and said the transition requires changes to his preparation and in-game approach. Clarkson did not outline specific details of the shift but emphasized that he intends to remain ready whenever head coach Tom Thibodeau calls his number.
“It’s a whole new process,” Clarkson said, referring to the need to adapt quickly while the team explores different backcourt combinations.
New York acquired Clarkson last offseason to bolster its scoring depth. While he opened the year as a primary option off the bench, recent rotations have pushed him further down the lineup.
Despite the reduced role, Clarkson expressed confidence that he can still help the Knicks as they navigate the second half of the season.
