PORTLAND, Ore. — Scoot Henderson will play his first game of the season on Friday when the Portland Trail Blazers host the Memphis Grizzlies, interim head coach Tiago Splitter told reporters on Thursday.
The 22-year-old guard has been sidelined since tearing his left hamstring during an offseason workout in September. He was selected third overall in the 2023 NBA draft and has averaged 13.3 points, 5.2 assists and 3.1 rebounds across his first two NBA seasons.
Friday’s matchup at Moda Center will mark Henderson’s return to action after nearly three months of rehabilitation.
