The NBA unveiled its 2026 All-Star Game rosters on Thursday, and Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. was not included, ending his hopes of earning a first-time appearance despite posting the strongest numbers of his career.

Porter Jr., who has repeatedly described an All-Star nod as a personal goal, is in the midst of a breakout campaign with Brooklyn. Even so, coaches selecting the Eastern Conference reserves opted for other frontcourt options, leaving the 25-year-old outside the league’s mid-season showcase.

The exclusion marks yet another near-miss for Porter Jr., who had spoken in recent weeks about believing his performance warranted consideration. The Nets did not have any players chosen for the February 16 game in San Francisco.

No injury replacements have been announced, meaning Porter Jr.’s chance of participation now hinges on potential withdrawals by selected players.
