The NBA released the full list of 2026 All-Star Game reserves on Friday during NBC’s pregame show for the New York Knicks–Los Angeles Lakers matchup, completing the 24-man roster that will take the floor next month.
Eastern Conference
Guards: Donovan Mitchell (Cavaliers), Norman Powell (Heat)
Frontcourt: Jalen Johnson (Hawks), Karl-Anthony Towns (Knicks), Pascal Siakam (Pacers), Scottie Barnes (Raptors), Jalen Duren (Pistons)
Johnson, Powell and Duren are first-time selections. Powell is posting a career-best 23.0 points per game in his first season with Miami. Johnson has emerged as a multi-faceted point forward, averaging 23.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 8.0 assists while shooting 36.0 % from three-point range. Duren contributes 18.0 points and 10.7 rebounds per outing as the No. 2 scorer for the conference-leading Pistons.
Towns, who joins Knicks teammate and two-time starter Jalen Brunson, is leading the league with 11.8 rebounds per game and adding 20.0 points on 36.4 % three-point shooting despite a dip in overall efficiency.
Western Conference
Guards: Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves), Jamal Murray (Nuggets), Devin Booker (Suns)
Frontcourt: Chet Holmgren (Thunder), Kevin Durant (Rockets), Deni Avdija (Trail Blazers), LeBron James (Lakers)
Murray, Holmgren and Avdija receive their first All-Star nods. Avdija has jumped to 25.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game, keeping Portland in play-in position. Murray is enjoying career highs of 25.8 points and 7.4 assists, helping Denver stay second in the West while starter Nikola Jokić missed 16 contests. Holmgren averages 17.8 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks, anchoring Oklahoma City’s defense in the absence of injured center Isaiah Hartenstein.
Booker earned a spot after steering Phoenix to a 30-19 record, tied with the Lakers for sixth place. James, selected for a record 22nd time, is averaging 21.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.6 assists for Los Angeles, which entered Friday at 29-18.
Additional Notes
The Lakers, Knicks, Thunder, Pistons and Nuggets each placed two players on the All-Star roster. Among notable omissions are Michael Porter Jr., Kawhi Leonard, Bam Adebayo, Joel Embiid and Alperen Şengün.
This year’s USA vs. World format requires at least eight international players. Luka Dončić, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama, Jokić, Avdija, Murray and Siakam already qualify. With starter Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined, league officials will decide whether Towns (Dominican Republic) and Powell (Jamaica) count as international selections, and an Eastern Conference injury replacement will be named. The NBA plans to release the final roster breakdown on Tuesday.
