Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon is expected to miss a minimum of four to six weeks after aggravating a right hamstring strain, according to multiple reports on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old suffered the setback during Denver’s 113-105 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Jan. 23. He will be reevaluated at the end of the projected recovery window, the same period he missed earlier this season with an initial strain to the same hamstring.

Gordon has appeared in 23 games, averaging 17.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists across 27.9 minutes per outing. He is shooting 50.9 percent from the field, 40.0 percent from three-point range and 78.9 percent from the free-throw line while serving as one of the team’s primary defenders.

The Nuggets hold a 17-6 record when Gordon plays compared with 14-10 in his absence. Overall, Denver sits at 31-16, good for the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.

While Gordon will be sidelined through most, if not all, of February, Denver could soon regain center Nikola Jokić. The three-time MVP, out for a month with a hyperextended left knee and bone bruise, is slated for a reevaluation next week.
