CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers signed forward Tristan Enaruna to a two-way contract on Thursday, filling the roster slot opened when the club waived Chris Livingston a day earlier.
Enaruna, 24, entered the professional ranks undrafted out of Cleveland State in 2024. He spent training camp this fall with both the Boston Celtics and the Cavaliers on Exhibit 10 agreements, was released each time, and reported to the NBA G League.
The 6-foot-7 wing has shown marked improvement this season with the G League’s Cleveland Charge. Through 23 games, he is averaging 19.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in a little more than 30 minutes per outing, while shooting 53.3 percent from the floor and 35.5 percent from three-point range. Those numbers represent a significant uptick from his 2023-24 campaign with the Maine Celtics, where his shooting efficiency lagged behind.
From a roster-management standpoint, Cleveland had already used 69 of the 90 combined NBA active games allowed for its two-way players. If Enaruna remains under contract for the balance of the season, he can appear in up to 22 NBA games. The Cavaliers will still need to add a 15th standard-contract player later in the year to maintain roster flexibility.
NaeQwan Tomlin and Luke Travers hold the Cavaliers’ two other two-way slots.
