The Los Angeles Clippers have reached a contract extension with president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank, according to Hoops Wire.

Specific terms and the length of the agreement were not disclosed. Frank has overseen the club’s front-office operations since 2017, helping guide roster construction around stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Before moving upstairs, the 53-year-old spent more than two decades on NBA benches, including head-coaching stops with the New Jersey Nets and Detroit Pistons and an assistant role with the Clippers under Doc Rivers.

The extension keeps Frank in charge of basketball decisions as the franchise prepares for its first season in the new Intuit Dome, set to open for the 2024-25 campaign.
