NEW YORK — Forward Guerschon Yabusele said he expected his time with the Knicks to unfold “different” from the situation he faces now, as speculation about a possible move intensifies ahead of the NBA trade deadline.
Speaking on Jan. 24, 2026, Yabusele acknowledged the growing chatter linking him to potential deals but declined to predict what the front office might do. “I thought this journey would be different,” he said, noting that roster uncertainty is part of the business with the deadline approaching.
The Knicks have not commented publicly on whether the 30-year-old is available, and no agreement had been announced as of Tuesday. The league’s trade window closes in early February.
