Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green is expected to play Tuesday night on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers, head coach Jordan Ott confirmed Monday.

The appearance would be only Green’s third since joining Phoenix. The 23-year-old has been sidelined for roughly two months after re-aggravating a right hamstring strain originally suffered during training camp.

Ott said Green will come off the bench. Philadelphia will be without center Joel Embiid, who is being held out for rest.

Phoenix acquired the former No. 2 overall draft pick in the offseason trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets. Green scored 29 points in 23 minutes during his Suns debut, a Nov. 6 victory over the LA Clippers, before the hamstring issue resurfaced.

Despite his absence, the Suns have surpassed preseason expectations and are in the hunt for a top-six seed in the Western Conference. Drafted by Houston in 2021, Green is now in his fifth NBA season.
