The Los Angeles Lakers wrapped up a demanding five-game, seven-day span by defeating the Toronto Raptors 110-93 on Sunday night, Jan. 18, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The win halted a skid in which Los Angeles had dropped five of six and moved the club to 25-16. The 93 points were the fewest the Lakers have allowed this season.

Slow start, swift turnaround

Toronto seized early control, leading 30-23 after the first quarter while Luka Doncic missed his first five shots and drew a technical foul following a disputed goaltending call. The Lakers flipped momentum in the second period behind LeBron James, who attacked the rim, and Doncic, who connected with Deandre Ayton on consecutive alley-oops during a 22-6 run that turned a seven-point deficit into a lead.

The Raptors responded with a 9-0 burst sparked by Brandon Ingram before Doncic drained a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give Los Angeles a 55-54 halftime edge.

Third-quarter threes widen the gap

Rui Hachimura and James each buried a three late in the third quarter, and Jarred Vanderbilt’s defense on Ingram helped the Lakers carry an 87-80 advantage into the final period.

Fourth-quarter finish

James scored twice to open the fourth, Marcus Smart added a three-pointer, and Ayton dominated in the paint as the lead stretched to 18 on a Vanderbilt fast-break dunk. Los Angeles maintained control the rest of the way to close out its most lopsided victory of the month.

Road trip ahead

The Lakers begin their longest road swing of the season on Tuesday against the Denver Nuggets, the first of eight consecutive games away from home.
