Mavericks and Anthony Davis
Multiple team officials told HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto that Dallas is expected to keep Anthony Davis rather than move him while he recovers from a hand injury. Executives described the eight-time All-Star’s current trade value as “severely limited,” suggesting a deal would require the Mavericks to treat it purely as a salary dump, an approach the club is not inclined to take.
The Atlanta Hawks, long viewed as the most active Davis suitor, have backed off for now because of the big man’s latest injury, further shrinking an already thin market.
Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga
Golden State continues to explore options for forward Jonathan Kuminga, but realistic destinations remain scarce. League sources said the Miami Heat, once considered a possibility, have cooled on the third-year player, and the Washington Wizards are not expected to enter the mix.
