The Los Angeles Clippers plan to sign forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. to a 10-day contract, Law Murray of The Athletic reported Thursday.
The agreement is expected to take effect in time for Monday’s road game against the Washington Wizards. Los Angeles faces the Toronto Raptors on Friday before two days off, giving the club time to add Baldwin to the active roster.
Baldwin, selected 28th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, has appeared in 93 regular-season games with the Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards and Clippers. He ended last season on a two-way deal with Los Angeles, rejoined the team for training camp last fall and was released at the close of the preseason.
The 7-foot forward has spent the 2025-26 campaign with the Clippers’ G League affiliate in San Diego. Through 17 games, he is averaging 21.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.7 steals over 33.9 minutes while shooting 54.6 percent from the field, 32.1 percent from three-point range and 65.2 percent at the foul line.
Los Angeles has one open spot on its 15-man roster, so no additional move is required. Baldwin’s 10-day deal will carry a $131,970 cap hit, leaving the team roughly $1.15 million below the first-apron hard cap.
Filling the final roster slot for the next 10 days also gives the Clippers added flexibility with two-way players Kobe Sanders and Jordan Miller. NBA rules limit clubs with fewer than 15 standard contracts to 90 combined active games for their two-way players. With a full roster, Sanders, Miller and TyTy Washington Jr. can be active without those appearances counting toward the 90-game threshold, though each player’s individual 50-game cap still applies.
So far this season, Los Angeles has used 74 combined active games among five two-way players: Sanders, Miller, Washington, Jahmyl Telfort and RayJ Dennis. Telfort and Dennis have since been waived.
