NEW YORK — The NBA has moved the Miami Heat–Chicago Bulls game that was postponed on Jan. 8 to Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. ET, according to NBA Communications.
Chicago’s road contest in Miami, originally slated for Jan. 30, will now be played on Jan. 31, also at 8 p.m. ET.
The Jan. 8 meeting at United Center was halted after players discovered slick spots on the floor during warm-ups. Moisture accumulated following an NHL game by the Chicago Blackhawks the night before, combined with unseasonably warm, rainy conditions in the mid-50s Fahrenheit.
The revised schedule means the Heat and Bulls will square off three straight times: Jan. 29 in Chicago, Jan. 31 in Miami, and the previously scheduled Feb. 1 matchup, also in Miami.
Both teams are already set to play on Jan. 28, creating a stretch of four games in five nights for each club. Chicago will visit Indiana that evening, while Miami hosts Orlando.
