Former NBA All-Star Blake Griffin offered high praise for Dallas Mavericks No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg during an appearance on the “Post Moves” podcast with Candace Parker and Aliyah Boston. Griffin called the 19-year-old forward “the most complete player” to enter the league in recent memory, citing Flagg’s passing, shooting, defense and rebounding. “What’s the red flag?” Griffin said, adding that Flagg’s ability to play and guard multiple positions makes him especially valuable.

In Houston, Rockets center Alperen Sengun has spent the offseason extending his shooting range while training with Turkey’s national team ahead of next week’s EuroBasket tournament, according to Eurohoops. Coach Djordje Sijan said most of their work focused on three-point attempts. “Some coaches don’t like it,” Sijan noted, “but this year we worked mostly on the three-point shot. That shot was forbidden to him.” Sijan also described Sengun, an NBA All-Star, as “the best player with his back to the basket in Europe.”

Meanwhile, the City of Memphis and the Grizzlies are jointly developing a $550 million plan to modernize FedEx Forum. The proposed renovation aims to secure the franchise’s long-term future in Memphis beyond the 2028-29 season, when the current lease expires, The Daily Memphian reported.
