The Washington Wizards have reached an agreement with free-agent guard Alondes Williams, according to a report from NBA insider Chris Haynes.
Washington already carries 15 fully guaranteed contracts, indicating that Williams is expected to arrive on a non-guaranteed training-camp deal. His addition lifts the club’s roster to 19 players, two short of the offseason limit.
Williams, 26, has appeared in nine NBA games. He debuted with the Brooklyn Nets during the 2022-23 season, played seven contests with the Miami Heat in 2023-24, and logged one appearance for the Detroit Pistons last season.
Detroit initially signed the 6-foot-4 guard to a two-way contract in October 2024 but released him in early January. Williams later joined the Orlando Magic’s Summer League squad in July.
Across 45 G League outings last year with the Sioux Falls Skyforce and Motor City Cruise, the former Wake Forest standout averaged 18.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists while logging 32.9 minutes per game.
If Williams receives an Exhibit 10 contract and is waived before opening night, he would be eligible to report to the Wizards’ affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go, and collect a bonus of up to $85,300.
