The Milwaukee Bucks continue to explore trade options to strengthen the roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. is now on their radar, according to league sources cited by Sam Amick of The Athletic.
Porter joins a list of potential targets that already features Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine, Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk and Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant, per previous reports. Amick describes LaVine as a “confirmed” focus for Milwaukee, while Monk and Grant have been tied to the Bucks through ESPN reporting.
General manager Jon Horst’s ability to complete a significant move remains uncertain because Milwaukee’s draft-pick stash and tradable salaries are limited. “It remains to be seen if Horst can pull off anything of significance, as Milwaukee is limited when it comes to assets and options,” Amick wrote.
With the trade deadline approaching, sources told The Athletic that Porter is now “firmly in the worth watching category,” indicating the Bucks’ internal list of possibilities is likely broader than the names that have surfaced publicly.
No timeline for potential negotiations was provided, and the Bucks have not commented on any specific players.
