Charlotte’s promising rookie Kon Knueppel, Houston center Alperen Şengün, San Antonio guard De’Aaron Fox, Dallas big man Anthony Davis, and Miami center Bam Adebayo all landed on their respective injury reports heading into Saturday’s NBA slate.

Knueppel sidelined in Orlando

Knueppel rolled his right ankle late in the second quarter of the Hornets’ Friday win over the Magic and did not return for the second half, the team announced. Video showed the 19-year-old coming down on Desmond Bane’s foot while contesting a floater. Head coach Charles Lee told reporters that postgame X-rays were negative.

Şengün dealing with calf tightness

The Rockets listed Alperen Şengün as questionable for Saturday’s matchup with Cleveland because of left calf tightness. The 23-year-old was also a game-time decision Thursday against the Lakers before ultimately playing. Through 26 games, the 2025 All-Star is averaging 22.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 block in 35.6 minutes.

Fox questionable with adductor tightness

Spurs point guard De’Aaron Fox is questionable for Saturday’s contest against Utah due to tightness in his left adductor, according to the team’s injury report. The former All-Star scored heavily in the first half of Thursday’s win over Oklahoma City, San Antonio’s third straight victory. Fox had appeared in 22 consecutive games after missing the first eight this season with a hamstring strain.

Davis listed with groin/adductor soreness

While initial reporting indicated Anthony Davis could miss multiple games, the Mavericks have him listed as questionable for Saturday in Sacramento with right adductor soreness. The five-time All-NBA big man left Thursday’s loss at Golden State after experiencing groin spasms. The adductor group is located in the inner thigh, and injuries there are commonly labeled groin strains.

Heat cautious with Adebayo’s back

Bam Adebayo sat out Miami’s Friday victory over Atlanta because of lower-back soreness. Head coach Erik Spoelstra said the club plans to be cautious, adding that the All-Star center is “pretty sore.” The Heat had lost eight of nine entering the game before snapping the skid against the Hawks.
